Why Agile Project Management is the Least-Practiced Practice
Agile has been in increasingly widespread use for over a decade. Yet far too many "agile" organizations still run development efforts in a decidedly non-agile way. What's going on?
Deep cultural and organizational forces are at work to block our efforts at every turn. The project model is a powerful demon hiding in the dark corners of our agile transformations. Behind the closed doors of our financial governance lurk policies waiting to smother agility. Our addiction to measuring output over outcomes blinds us to orders of magnitude improvements in value.
In this talk we'll shine light into dark corners, kick open closed doors and confront ingrained habits. And probably annoy a few sacred cows along the way. You may knowingly nod, or shake your head in consternation, but you're guaranteed to have things to talk about all evening!
